It is a company that started as a Baseball dominating company. Spaldings founder Albert Goodwill Spalding started as a baseball pitcher, and used to pitch with every ball that he manufactured himself, later on, he started moving around into basketball, Volleyball, golf etc. Spalding has been the Official Game ball supplier for NBA since 1983. Spalding is also credited to have created the first Composite Leather Ball in the year 1992.
