The bat oil is a must for your bat care. Raw Linseed oil helps retain the moisture in your bat our years of playing. The Bat oil maintains the moisture in the wood thus products the bat from damages and also gives a nice ping and punch. So to protect your bat from damages and to get the best from your bats Sports Center recommends the use of bat oil.

Instructions of use:

First start off by cleaning the Bat so that all the dirt and debry are out. If its a used bat take a least grade Sand paper and sand off all the dirt

Take a dry towel or Napkin or a piece of cloth and apply the oil on the towel first and then apply it on the face of the bat and where ever the wood is exposed (Front on the face, Back on the arc, sides on the edges.

Avoid excessive use of oil in the bat

Please also make sure that you avoid applying the oil on top of the brand stickers or the antiscufff sheets or the fibre tapes that are there on the bat. Its of no use.

After you are done finishing with applying the oil, please keep the bat indoors in room temperature, with no contact to the sun for 48 hours.

Bat should be laid down on the floor with the face of the bat facing up the sky. Please place any small objects such as stones or pens or book or magazines or anything so that the arc of the bat is balanced and the face of the bat is flat in 180 degrees.

After 48 hours apply a 2nd coat of oil but this time the portion should be lesser than the first time application.

Again let the bat dry for 48 hours indoors with no contact to the sun and then after this you may start knocking your cricket bats for bringing out the best from your bat.
